About this Cause

Powered by Northern Roots Hockey, this is the only Pond Hockey Charity Tournament where former NHL players come together to play hockey for an important cause! To raise: 1) AWARENESS of the unique challenges and urgent needs faced by young women (and their families) during and after breast cancer; and 2) CRITICAL FUNDS for iRise Above Foundation's vital programs that empower, inspire, and support young women to heal and live well. iRise Above aims to create a world where young women are empowered, supported, and inspired to achieve an outstanding quality of life, both during and after breast cancer. The mission of iRise Above is to provide young women with targeted, age-appropriate, and integrated health and wellness resources, tools, and strategies to help them rise above the residual effects of breast cancer, enabling healing and well-being.
